Workshop-Beschreibung "Music Bridge" (Community Jams):
MUSIC-BRIDGE ist ein Musik-Jam, in dem Menschen jeder Herkunft über Musik in Kontakt kommen können. Es wird Musik gehört, getanzt aber vor allem zusammen Musik gemacht. Teilnehmer*Innen brauchen
keine musikalischen Vorkenntnisse und müssen auch nicht flüssig Deutsch sprechen können. Es geht darum sich kennenzulernen, Gemeinschaft zu erfahren und zusammen Spaß zu haben. Die Teilnahme ist
kostenlos und Instrumente sind vorhanden. Begleitet wird die Jam-Session durch Zainab Lax, Musiktherapeutin, die momentan ihren Master am Center for Worldmusic in Hildesheim macht.

workshop description "music brdige" (community-Jams):
MUSIC-BRIDGE is a music jam, in which people from every background, origin and culture can get in touch via the medium of music. It is about listening to music, dancing and especially making
music together. Participants don‘t need any musical knowledge or fluent German knowledge. It‘s all about getting to know each other, experiencing community and having fun together. Participation
is free and instruments are available. The jam sessions are accompanied by Zainab Lax, a young music therapist, who is currently making her masters at the Center for Worldmusic in
Hildesheim.

-> Worldmusic Carnival?
This year the Worldmusic Carnival, organized by “Kulturkram e.V.” & "Waldhaus12 e.V.", is celebrating its third anniversary!
Again there will be a multifaceted festival program, which in one way will offer a divers and alternative program to the classical, Rhineland carnival and in the other way should contribute to
the communication an understanding between different cultures in Mönchengladbach.
The program starts in November 2018 with two concerts and will be continued from the end of January to the beginning of March 2019.
Bigger as well as smaller music events, which are going to take our guests to faraway countries, will be a part of the festival. Also there will be a workshop program for all our curious
participants where you can experiment with music.
Dive into different parts of the world, intoxicating melodies and exotic sounds.
